Consider applying to the Cancer Scholars Program (CSP) application for incoming freshman. The deadline to apply is August 4, 2020 at 11:59 pm CT, but as this program is very small and CSP is limiting the number of applications so applying early is encouraged.
The Cancer Scholars Program is an undergraduate educational experience offered by the Cancer Center at Illinois, whose administrative offices are located in the Beckman Institute, and is focused on training students to be the next generation of cancer researchers. As cancer research is inherently interdisciplinary, the membership of the Cancer Center at Illinois is comprised of faculty from across campus. Therefore, we would like for our training programs to reflect this interdisciplinarity and encourage SCS students to apply.
