The Ying Fan Wu Memorial Scholarship is to be awarded as two scholarships of $1,000 each to outstanding students in Asian American Studies. Any student who is currently enrolled in or has completed a course in Asian American Studies is welcome to apply and will be duly considered.
These scholarships have been established through the generosity of an illustrious Asian American alumnus, Mr. Horace Wu, and his wife Kate King Wu in honor of Horace Wu’s father, Ying Fan Wu, who attended the University of Illinois in the 1930s.
These undergraduate awards are for the 2019‐2020 academic year. You must have at least one semester remaining after this current academic year to qualify.
Deadline: March 1, 2019, 4:30 pm Central Time. Selection is based upon various criteria that may include: Academic Achievement, Campus Involvement, Financial Need, Leadership, Major/Minor Status, Past Research Projects, & Essay or Artistic/Media Project.
