You are invited you to serve as a student intern for new LAS international students this fall. LAS 100 course has supported new incoming international students' successful transition to U.S. college life. This fall, LAS 100 will take on more of an essential role as an online course for all international students who will start their Illinois experience remotely, we need more interns to work with new international students. The student interns' role is extremely important in this course. We are currently recruiting student interns. To serve as an intern, no need to be on campus but should be an enrolled international student at the College of LAS. New international students can greatly benefit from your knowledge and experience. Apply for this one-of-a-kind leadership opportunity now!
Intern role/expectations:
- Attend weekly meetings to prep for small group discussions
- Attend a leadership training ( we will prepare you to become a successful intern before the class starts)
- Assist course instructor in checking the attendance and facilitating discussion sessions
- Grade students' participation in Moodle
- Communicate with an assigned group of students to check the progress of the group project
Time commitment:
- About 5 hours a week during the first term of the semester (Aug 3 or sooner – Oct 16)
Compensation:
- $10 per hour
