LAS and ENG are working with one of our trusted study abroad partners, CampusB in Brazil to offer virtual internships for Illinois students with Brazilian companies. This summer we had a small group of students including four CHBE students do internships and they had a wonderful experience. The students who participate in this or other virtual global experiences enroll in a one credit section of LAS 292 that accompanies the experience and provides professional development and intercultural competency skill development. LAS (Liberal Arts and Sciences) is providing Life + Career Design scholarships for students to support these and other experiential learning and professional development activities. LAS International Programs also offers other virtual international internship, research, and service-learning opportunities. More info here.
