R.E.A.C.T. is a public outreach program within the UIUC Department of Chemistry. Led by a team of undergraduate students, this organization will be teaching hands-on chemistry experiments over Zoom to elementary and middle school classrooms in the local area. R.E.A.C.T. aims to inspire a curiosity in science from a young age! If you enjoy working with kids or performing cool demos, we are looking for undergraduate volunteers this spring! We offer volunteer hours and honors credit for James Scholars in general and organic chemistry courses. Find more info on our website. Orientation dates are February 2nd and 3rd at 5:30 p.m. (for gen chem students or students not in a chemistry course) and 6:30 p.m. (only for organic chem students) in 161 Noyes. Come one day to learn more about the program! You may also join via Zoom – Meeting ID: 875 0407 6154, Password: REACT
