What types of compounds can be submitted?
We accept any synthesized or isolated molecule or natural product that is currently not in our collection. We will also accept stable inorganic complexes as well.

How do I need to prepare my compound?
We prefer compounds to be submitted as 10 mM solutions in DMSO contained in glass 7-mL scintillation vials. Dry compound in scintillation vials will also be accepted.

How much compound do I need to submit?
Minimally, 100 µL of a 10 mM solution must be submitted. We will accept any weighable amount of dry compound.

How pure does my compound need to be?
We prefer compounds to be at least 90% pure as judged by 1H-NMR or HPLC. Compounds can be submitted as racemic mixtures.

What if I have a large number of compounds to submit?
Please contact us and we will determine the best way for you to submit your compounds.

I have my compound ready to submit, now what?
Please enter all of your compound structures into a Chemdraw file (Chemdraw for excel is preferred) and label each with a unique name.  NOTE: If you are affiliated with the University of Illinois, ChemOffice is available through the University's WebStore.

If you do not have ChemOffice, please fill out the submission form (Excel), and draw compound structures arranging to the names in a separate Chemdraw file.

If you have ChemOffice, please fill out the submission form (ChemOffice). NOTE: this link will open a new Box tab, and you will need to click on the "Download" button.  Structures need to be added using “ChemOffice”-“Molecule”-“Add”.

Submit an electronic version and bring/mail the compounds to the HTSF located at the address listed at the bottom of the page.

Your contribution to HTSF house library will be appreciated.
