Rosetta Commons REU: A Cyberlinked Program in Computational Biomolecular Structure & Design Interns in this geographically-distributed REU program have the opportunity to participate in research using Rosetta Commons software. The Rosetta Commons software suite includes algorithms for computational modeling and analysis of protein structures. It has enabled notable scientific advances in computational biology, including de novo protein design, enzyme design, ligand docking, and structure prediction of biological macromolecules and macromolecular complexes.
Students learn the inner details of PyRosetta and community coding environment. Students research in a molecular modeling and design laboratory, developing new algorithms and discovering new science.

REU in Nanotechnology for Biology and Bioengineering- Students majoring in the STEM fields participate in research projects in the exciting and rapidly growing area of nanobiotechnology, a place where biology, medicine, and nanotech meet. Research areas include:
- Engineering for Cancer Therapies
- Stem Cell and Regenerative Engineering
- Diagnostic Tools Engineered for Early Detection
Students receive hands-on graduate-level laboratory research experience and guidance from faculty and graduate student mentors. The program includes professional development activities, social activities, and off-campus housing.
