The Grainger College of Engineering was awarded the Clare Boothe Luce (CBL) grant from the Henry Luce Foundation in 2019. Each year, eight (8) women undergraduates are selected as Clare Boothe Luce Research Scholars. This year, we will offer more than eight research scholarships to women seeking to study or teach science, mathematics, and or engineering via the research pathway to graduate studies.
Up to $12000 may be awarded to the scholars ($7000 in summer; $5000 for fall and spring) and research mentors also receive $600 per semester for professional development.
In the past, two of our CBL scholars were from your department: Sriya Chitti and Maya Chattoraj, both of whom are now in graduate programs in prestigious institutions. Our hope is that this year, we can reach out to more students from your department to apply for the CBL research scholarships.
Chemistry and Chemical Engineering students are encouraged to apply for the CBL research scholarships for 2023-2024. The application deadline is on March 8. More information can be found on the CBL webpage.
