Applications for our paid 2024 NSF and USDA-funded summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs at the Boyce Thompson Institute are now open! Our summer 2024 programs are a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience working alongside experts in plant science research and technology development, bioinformatics, genetics, genomics, engineering, and digital agriculture. Students will receive interdisciplinary training in bioinformatics, science communication, exposure to new technology and research, as well as strong mentoring both in and outside the lab to support pathways to graduate school and careers. No previous research experience is required to participate, but applicants should have an excitement to engage in research!
Program dates: June 3, 2024 – August 9, 2024

Program Benefits:
- $7,000 stipend
- $850 meal stipend
- Free housing on the Cornell University campus
- Up to a $700 travel allowance to Ithaca, NY
