SCS Faculty Members Receive Awards

Several faculty members from the School of Chemical Sciences have recently been recognized.  Chemistry professors Angad Mehta and Lisa Olshansky were among 126 recipients of the 2025 Sloan Research Fellowships from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

In addition, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering professor Ying Diao received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government on young professionals at the outset of their independent research careers.

Professor  Nicholas E. Jackson, chemistry, has been selected as a 2025 Cottrell Scholar by the Research Corporation for Science Advancement and Prashant Jain, G.L. Clark Professor of Physical Chemistry, has been selected to receive the 2025 Craver Award by the Coblentz Society.

Finally, Chemistry Department Head Catherine Murphy, received the 2025 NANOSMAT Prize Award.  She will give a lecture at the 16th NANOSMAT Conference in Naples, Italy, this summer.
