Shipping

DEADLINE:  2:00 pm daily (Monday - Friday)* 

For all shipments to be processed same day, a completed ship-out form and package must be brought to SCS Receiving before 2:00 pm to be completed.

Important: All incoming and outgoing shipments using School of Chemical Sciences FedEx or UPS account numbers must comply with the following requirements:

• Approval Required for Every Shipment: Obtain approval from SCS Receiving before each incoming or outgoing shipment. To obtain approval, please use the SCS Shipping Form, which also provides prepaid shipping labels.
• Single-Use Authorization: Shipping account numbers are approved for one-time use only. Do not save, reuse, or share SCS account numbers with vendors or collaborators.
• CFOP and NetID Required: A valid CFOP and the requester's NetID must be provided before a shipment is processed.
• Complete Shipping Address: All shipping labels must include the recipient's full name and room number. Packages addressed only to "Roger Adams Laboratory" or another general location cannot be routed correctly.
• Purchase Order Shipments: If a shipment is associated with a purchase order, the PO number must be included as the shipment reference number.
• Preferred Carrier: Whenever possible, use UPS instead of FedEx due to ongoing FedEx billing and tracking issues.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in delayed deliveries, held packages, rejected shipping charges, or suspension of future shipping privileges.

It is highly recommended that you include TWO contacts for international shipments.  The exception is if only documents are being sent.
