Adobe Creative Cloud

The University of Illinois has renewed our Adobe Creative Cloud Agreement. Announcements concerning this will begin to go out September 27, 2017  to departments involved in the contract renewal.

Changes in the contract include access to additional apps and features available through Creative Cloud. In addition to having access to well-known applications like InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, eligible faculty and staff will also have access to newer apps like Porfolio, Behance, and Lightroom Mobile plus 20GB of Cloud storage. Other notable changes in this contract are:  

·       Single sign-on utilizing your NetID and Password. For detailed instructions on how to login you can refer to the video at webstore.illinois.edu/Adobe. You will also find a link to a written tutorial.

·       Eligible employees include employee types A, B, C and H. Urbana employees can check their employee type using the Electronic Directory Editor. Simply login and scroll to the bottom of the entry.

·        Eligible employees will no longer need to purchase a home use license. They are able to use the software at home on their personally owned computers utilizing the single sign-on option.  

·        For any employee not eligible for the Enterprise license departments may install Adobe Creative Cloud on a University machine and allow employees to use it for University work. 

 

WebStore and FAST3 will offer multiple training sessions highlighting some of the changes and capabilities now accessible with the new contract. These training sessions, listed at webstore.illinois.edu/Adobe, will be open to all eligible faculty and staff. IT Pros are encouraged to refer anyone wanting instruction on how to access and utilize features to these training session.

For labs and managed machines IT Pros should continue using serialized versions of software available through WebStore.
