CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

GPA requirement:

3.1 cumulative UIUC GPA based on at least one semester on campus

Course requirements:

Completion of CHBE 221 and ONE of CHBE 321 or 421; must have grades of C (2.0) or higher in BOTH classes

Additional requirements:

Meet with SCS advisor to devise a reasonable plan to graduate within 10 semesters

 

CHEMISTRY (SCIENCES & LETTERS or SPECIALIZED CURRICULUM)

GPA requirement:

2.0 UIUC GPA in all courses taken that are required for the Chemistry major (CHEM, MATH, and PHYS)

Course requirements:

Grades of C (2.0) or higher in CHEM 102, 103, 104, and 105 + MATH 220/221 and MATH 231 or equivalents

 

CS + CHEMISTRY

GPA requirement:

3.5 cumulative UIUC GPA

Course requirements:

B+ (3.33) or higher in TWO required CS courses beyond CS 128 and CS 222 (typically CS 173 and CS 225) 

B- (2.67) or higher or AP/proficiency credit for CHEM 102, 103, 104, & 105 OR CHEM 202, 203, & 204 with at least one content (non-lab) course completed at Illinois

Additional requirements:

Students who have credit for or have completed Chemistry or CS coursework elsewhere should consult with an SCS advisor about specific course requirements
