Users may register and submit samples using the online sample submission system. When you present your sample for the experiment, please remember to label it with the FBS order number.
Users may be trained to collect their own data on any of the instruments. To schedule training and learn about the cost and training process contact a staff member. Before hands-on training may begin, users will be required to complete the Analytical X-Ray Safety Training from the DRS website and submit a financial responsibility form.
To reserve time on the MiniFlex, use the ChemFOM system. Trained users will be able to schedule time in 30 minute increments.
To reserve time on the DUO or APEX single crystal instruments inquire with MCL staff.
Experiments on each instrument are run on a first-come, first-served basis during regular business hours. Once users are trained and approved for unsupervised use of an instrument, they will be given 24-hour access to the facility. These users will be allowed to collect data outside of normal business hours.
